Nihao! I'm Serena, the founder and one of the teachers at Co-Chinese. With a background in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language for my undergraduate studies, I dedicated a decade to teaching Chinese. Following my postgraduate studies at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, I gained a fresh perspective and developed my own curriculum. After successful trials in Singapore and encouraged by the first Co-Chinese student from Belgium, I established a school to implement my curriculum. Currently, we are in the process of creating a learning platform, aiming to integrate teaching experience, pedagogical philosophy, and technology to assist those with Chinese learning goals.
Co-Chinese operates as a school led by teachers instead of business executives. Every Co-Chinese student is not only a learner but also part of Co-Chinese Community. All our teachers hold master's degrees from Nanyang Technological University, possess international Chinese teaching certificates, and have 2-10 years of professional teaching experience.
They are carefully selected through Co-Chinese's rigorous selection process. Our teachers are dedicated, responsible, broad-minded, and possess a strong sense of inclusiveness.
There is a great academic atmosphere among the teachers, and everyone supports and helps each other to progress together. This creates a professional, academic, yet relaxed and friendly atmosphere at Co-Chinese.

We offer both immersion courses and study tours, both of which are customized to your preferences. You can choose either one individually or even combine them to suit your needs.
Moreover, Co-Chinese hosts weekly events that provide a variety of experiences.all Co-Chinese students are welcome to join with free access. We have Co-Chinese weekly dinner, we also have cooking sessions and festive celebrations, and even participating in local events around Singapore.
You can also schedule lunch, coffee, or dinner with your teachers or other Co-Chinese students. These activities not only offer opportunities to practice Chinese together but also facilitate connections among fellow enthusiasts of the language within the Co-Chinese learning community. We have developed our own teaching materials and provide a variety of resources for students to choose from.
Co-Chinese curriculum is meticulously crafted, aligning with the HSK language proficiency standards and World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages. We also draw inspiration from ACTFL's assessment framework.
We promote frequent communication and interaction in and out of the classroom during the course. Our commitment to excellence is evident in our continuous adjustment and upgrading of course content based on students' proficiency levels and specific needs. This ensures the highest quality of courses tailored to individual learning journeys. However, if you already have specific study goals and textbooks, feel free to bring them to us. Our experienced and professional teachers will customize the course to align with your unique objectives, providing personalized support on your Chinese language learning path.

Regarding our classrooms, Co-Chinese offers various locations spread across the island. Many of our students find the classrooms near Chinatown particularly appealing due to their cleanliness and tranquility. These serviced classrooms come equipped with a pantry and cleaning team, along with individual lockers for each student. The central location also provides convenient access to various destinations.
